Bridgeport Man Charged With Violating Protective Order In South Norwalk

A 36-year-old Fairfield County man was nabbed by police for violating a protective order after he was caught in the company of the person who had the order against him.

Juan Rodriguez of Bridgeport was arrested around 2:30 a.m. Friday when a Norwalk police officer patrolling Water Street at Burritt Avenue observed three people engaged in suspicous activity, said Norwalk Police Lt. Terrence Blake.

The officers stopped the trio and found Rodriguez had an active violation of probation warrant. He was arrested, and was also found to be the subject of a protective order, Blake said.

The protected person happened to be one of the other three at the scene, which was a violation of the protective order, he added.

Rodriguez was charged with violation of probation and violation of a criminal protective order. He is being held on $105,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Friday, Dec. 21.
